Baumann Transportation Strike Update 11-13-17

In relation to an update on the bus strike, Baumann Bus Company management will be meeting tomorrow to negotiate with their employees. The Board of Education has scheduled a special meeting for tomorrow, 11/14, to convene at 6:30 PM at Freeport High School to discuss the Baumann Bus strike and the district’s various options. The meeting will begin with an open session and possibly adjourn to an executive session for advice from our legal counsel pertaining to a litigation matter. Subsequent to the executive session, the Board will reconvene to discuss the transportation situation and district options. As with all Board meetings, the public is invited to attend.

If there are any changes, we will let you know prior to the Board meeting. Although we have made arrangements to help alleviate the transportation issues through the assistance of another bus company, we understand that there may still be inconveniences until the entire matter is resolved. We appreciate your continued cooperation and patience. Please feel free to continue to use our extended building hours.
