J.W. Dodd Middle School students received an informal visit from Officer Yolanda Turner from the Nassau County Police Department, Community Affairs Department, who discussed the dangers of vaping.

This is the second year Officer Turner shared her knowledge on the vaping crisis, speaking to the entire eighth grade class in four assemblies. Students listened attentively and asked great questions for the officer to answer.

The district gives thanks to Officer Turner for taking the time to speak with students on this important topic.
