Thanks from the Board...

On behalf of the Freeport Board of Education, we would like to thank our community for passing our recent school budget.  Although we did present a tax levy decrease of -1.31%, we did not take for granted that it was a “slam dunk” budget. We are grateful to our administration, staff, parents, and members of our community for getting the correct information out. The program portion of our budget is maintained, and even enhanced, and capital projects are being addressed. 

Freeport is fortunate to have a community whose residents continue to invest in THEIR school system. We are proud of the fiscal integrity of our district, our solid bond rating, and our clean audit. Prudent financial management and the academic success of our children have been, and continue to be, our areas of primary focus. The Board considers it a pleasure and a privilege to serve such a fine Village. Thank you.
