-             continue to improve all written work as a result of a growing mastery of skills in areas of language mechanics, usage, transitional devices, etc.

-             proofread and revise individual writing assignments to improve effectiveness and accuracy as per the purpose and intent of each

-             develop and present a quality “Critical Lens” essay that shows a solid understanding of the basics in context and form required as per established “Guidelines”

-             approach reading selections of various genres with improved skills in areas involving comprehension, contextual clues, interpretation, and literary elements and devices

“Critical Lens” essay exhibiting a sound understanding of reading selections discussed, literary elements and techniques identified and explained, and the presentation and development of an appropriate controlling idea as per the requirement of the specific assignment

“Guidelines” criteria, form and content and language arts skills as per grammar, usage, mechanics, word choice and use, paragraphing, etc.
