Bob Zifchock, the Athletic
Director for the Freeport School District,
was honored in Rochester, New York recently as the recipient of an "Amazing
Person" award for the Council of Administrators Section.
The award was presented at the annual conference
of the New York
State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance
(NYSAHPERD).
Mr. Zifchock has been at Freeport since 2000, serving as Director of
Health, Physical Education, Athletics and Safety Education.
Mr. Zifchock noted that this marked the first time
that a Freeport
educator has been honored by the association.
Mr. Zifchock earned his bachelor's
degree in physical education from
Ithaca College and both his master's degree in educational
administration, and his school district administrators certification,
from SUNY New Paltz.
He is a past recipient of the Nassau County Director of the Year Award. |
