Jackie Benjamin, the advisor and
founder of Dodd's "Chain Reaction Club" discussed
this with the Club members. They decided to begin a chain reaction
to spread kindness in a variety of ways. Each week they developed
a challenge that was announced throughout the school and which
encouraged everyone to participate.
They have had several bake sales along with a carwash
to raise money for a victim of the Columbine shooting. They presented a $500.00
check to Rachel's Legacy that will be donated to a victim's college
fund. Currently, we are working to give back to our community.
Ms. Benjamin has designed t-shirts that the club is selling to raise
money for needy families in Freeport for Thankgiving. The students
in the club are motivated and hardworking. They truly are starting
a chain reaction.
