FPS Students are Winners at the Empire Games

M

r. Toby Elmore, our Adapted Physical Education teachers, and many of the PE staff, headed for Mitchell field with many students from Freeport to attend the Empire Games for the Physically Challenged. This three-day event is held annually.

There were students from all 8 schools in Freeport that competed and won medals. Also participating were 40 children in the games and about 85 students attending at the games. There were also students from the High Schools' Captains and Leaders Club group to lend a hand.  Many family members and friends were also at the Games. In all, the participants earned over 100 medals during the 3-day event.
