Hats off to Freeport’s Summer Graduates
|
FREEPORT, N.Y., September 4, 2007
With the musical chords of “Pomp and Circumstance” leading
the processional, 46 Freeport students in cap and gown took their last
steps as high school students and their first steps as Freeport High School
graduates.
Proud parents beamed with pride as welcoming and congratulatory remarks
were offered by Dr. Eric Eversley, superintendent of schools; Mr. Ernest
Kight, Freeport High School assistant principal; and Debra McQuillan, president
of the Board of Education.
Jacqueline Genesoni, summer school principal,
presented the graduating class to the audience while cameras snapped
and videos panned, and after all the diplomas were given out cheers went
up for the district’s
newest alumni. |
