FHS WINS THE L.I. CHALLENGE

FHS Offers Phys.Ed. Elective Program

In keeping with the need to address the obesity epidemic, the high school physical education staff has begun to offer an elective program to the students. The program began second semester and the staff plans to continue the activities next year. One program is strength and conditioining which will give the students the skills and information to remain physically fit for a lifetime. Step aerobics that can develop both cardiovascular fitness and strength and can be done by everyone at any age. Students in this class will also do TaeBo, yoga, pilates and walking.
