Leo F. Giblyn’s kindergarten classes gathered on the school’s front lawn last week to release butterflies! The students have been learning about the phenomenon of the butterfly life cycle for the past several weeks. Students questioned and wondered what the caterpillars would become as they got bigger and then changed into their chrysalis. Students soon learned that they became butterflies.

After opening the cages, the butterflies quickly left their temporary homes and flew away. Following, the students had a lesson about butterflies.
