The district was recently made aware of a flyer being distributed in our community inviting people to a rally on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Freeport High School. This rally is neither sponsored by nor authorized by the Freeport School District. Based on District policy, individuals or organizations wanting to use District property must fill out building use forms, and the majority of intended participants must be Freeport residents. In this case, no application was made for the use of the high school building or campus property.
The individuals organizing this rally have notified the District that they have changed their planned rally to virtual. We do not have any additional information to share with you at this time.
