Freeport Public Schools

Several Freeport High School students, who are members of the Interact Club, accompanied by Mrs. Underwood participated in the Girls Inc. of Long Island’s Lead(HER)ship Summit 2024. The event was held at Nassau Community College and was sponsored by Travelers. The students engaged in interesting and informative workshops and opportunities to explore personal branding, learn valuable tips for financial literacy, how to set their own S.M.A.R.T. goals, and gained valuable insight into what is needed to be college and career ready. The students especially enjoyed interacting with the diverse group of successful female professionals who facilitated the workshops and shared their journeys from childhood to adulthood.
