Freeport Public Schools proudly honored the remarkable careers of 30 retirees for the 2024-2025 school year during the annual Retirement Celebration on June 2.
The annual event recognized each retiree for their commitment and dedication to the district and the students of Freeport.
Gathering in the Freeport High School Performing Arts Center, Interim Superintendent of Schools Dr. Alice Kane welcomed and reflected on the work of those entering retirement.
“We are proud to honor your unwavering belief in our students and thank you for your tireless work,” said Dr. Kane. “You will always be part of our school community and congratulations on a well-earned retirement.”
Following Dr. Kane’s remarks, each retiring staff member was presented with commemorative plaque and special gifts from their building principals.
