Freeport High School Celebrated Irish Heritage Month

The month of March signifies Irish Heritage Month and Freeport High School hosted an Irish Dance assembly for students in the Performing Arts Center with the Kender Academy of Irish Dance.

“Irish Dance weaves together ancient traditions, historical influences and vibrant expressions of Irish culture, captivating audiences worldwide,” said Principal Giselle Campbell-Ham.

Thanks to Freeport High School librarian Paula Ennis, Kender Academy’s champion Irish Dancers performed to share the art of Irish Dancing with students.
Caitlin Ennis, Paula’s daughter, is a champion Irish Dancer with the Academy and was proud to perform for the students of Freeport.

“It was a wonderful opportunity to share a bit of Irish culture with the students and staff of Freeport High School in celebration of Irish American Heritage month,” said Caitlin Ennis.
