Freeport NJROTC visits Nassau County police headquarters
The cadets of the High School’s Navy JROTC visited the Nassau County Police Department headquarters in Mineola for an educational experience designed to expose them to the variety of career opportunities in law enforcement.

During the visit, cadets were given a tour of the facility, followed by a presentation and Q&A session with Police Sergeant Steven Krukowski. He provided an overview of the roles within the police force and offered insight into the specialized units and the many unique career paths available.

As part of the experience, students explored critical resources used by the Nassau County Police Department, including emergency vehicles, the mounted unit and the police helicopter, allowing them to see firsthand the tools that support public safety.

At the conclusion of the visit, each cadet was awarded a certificate of participation and a Nassau County Police Department T-shirt, commemorating their day.
