Video Media Production - This course is designed for students who are interested in careers in the television and film industry. Through hands on project work, students explore topics such as production planning, lighting techniques, video recording, editing techniques, special effects and camera operations. Students work in teams and utilize the latest cameras and Adobe Premier to upload and broadcast content to YouTube, Phones, and Websites for creating professional looking video projects.

Introduction To Programming & Coding - This course will introduce students to the basic principles of Python programming and coding. Topics such as creating flow charts, working with variables/operators, data types, oriented programming, conditions and loops are explored in detail. Students will apply real world applications to generate written programs that interface with Raspberry Pi computers.

Mechanic Designer Computer

Technology - Career & Technical Education (CTE)
Full-Year Courses

Auto Mechanics 1 - Did you know there is a national shortage of mechanics? Break into this exciting field by learning about mechanical and electrical component testing, repair and maintenance along with the theory necessary to perform the required skills.
**Requirement for the CTE Automotive Program - Dual Enrollment College Credit Available

Auto Mechanics 2 - The second year course is a continuation of Auto Mechanics 1 and involves machining, transmission replacement, internal engine parts repair and replacement as well as major tune-up procedures.
**Requirement for the CTE Automotive Program - Dual Enrollment College Credit Available

Design & Drawing For Production - This is an entry level technical drawing course which provides experiences for students interested in Architecture, Engineering and Design fields. Traditional technical drawing as well as computer design and engineering software is used to investigate the way ideas evolve from a simple sketch to a finished product. This course fulfills the Art/Music requirement for graduation.
**Requirement for CTE Drafting & Design Program

Industrial Drafting 1 - This is the first course of a three year sequence for students interested in architecture and engineering. Through drawing, students explore the basic concepts of drafting, such as sketching, single and multi-view drawings, pictorial drawings, sections and perspectives. The course includes instruction in drafting conventions, lettering, geometric constructions and working drawings.
**Requirement for CTE Drafting & Design Program

Industrial Drafting 2 - Students continue to develop drafting skills learned in Industrial Drafting 1. This course is primarily computer oriented. AutoCAD software is used to create professional multi-view and three dimensional illustrations. Traditional drafting techniques are compared with the skills necessary for producing technical drawings on the computer. The processes necessary for developing working drawings from start to finish are explored in detail.

Industrial Drafting 3 - This course introduces students to the world of architecture through scale model building. Scale models of houses and buildings are designed and constructed by each student. Traditional and CAD drawings include detailed floor plans and elevation views for each constructed model. Through hands on activities students acquire a thorough understanding of architecture as it relates to drafting, design and engineering. Building codes and materials are studied and incorporated into each required activity.

Electrical Engineering - This course provides students with in-depth knowledge of electrical systems that power our world. Students study topics such as basic circuit fundamentals, semiconductors, AC/DC circuits and digital electronics. The focus is on working with real world projects and students get to design and build a working circuit

Fundamentals of Engineering Technology (EBD) - This is the first course in a four year sequence for students interested in Engineering Technology. Students use computers, robotics and other electronic devices to explore communications, manufacturing, power/energy/transportation and construction systems. Using an engineering focus of problem solving, students define problems, conduct appropriate research, develop solutions to the problem, construct prototypes, and evaluate their work. This course is designed to introduce students to those principles and skills used in subsequent Engineering courses. Students learn to sketch solutions to problems, create technical drawings and presentations, build models, and apply creative problem solving methods.

Technological Design (EBD) - In Technological Design, engineering scope, content and professional practices are presented through practical applications. Students in engineering teams apply technology, science and mathematics concepts and skills to solve engineering design problems and innovate designs. Students research, develop, test and analyze engineering designs using criteria such as design effectiveness, public safety, human factors and ethics.
