Freeport Public Schools

An annual tradition at Freeport High School is the surprise announcement of the senior class top 10 students. The announcement usually takes place in the fall, but the students do not know in advance when the official announcement will be made by Principal Gisselle Campbell-Ham.   

On Oct. 30, the long-awaited announcement took place and the top 10 students from the Class of 2024 were invited to gather for their official recognition attended by Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kishore Kuncham and Board of Education President Maria Jordan-Awalom. Congratulations to: Jeremy Dominguez, valedictorian; Etienne Sasenarine, salutatorian; Cassie Smith, No. 3; Suri Lin, No. 4; Julio Frometa Gomez, Nov. 5; Sejla Omeragic, No. 6; Evelyn Villalobos Rivera, No. 7; Betzaly Collado, No. 8; Kevin Yang, No. 9 and Naomi Belgrave, No. 10.  

“Congratulations on your outstanding academic achievements,” Dr. Kishore Kuncham said. “You are the leaders and changemakers of the future and role models for those who follow in your footsteps. Your journey is just beginning, and I am confident you will be successful in all your endeavors.”
