Leo F. Giblyn School students welcome patients living with ALS

It was a day fourth grade students at Leo F. Giblyn School look forward to each year. Patients living with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis made their annual visit to meet with the fourth grade students to educate them about the disease known as ALS and ways the students can help to find a cure.

The patients’ message to students was one of hope for a cure encouraging the students to never give up, never lose hope, always remain optimistic and to always be willing to defy the odds.

This is a beloved day for the school in anticipation of another annual event in May when those participating in the Ride for Life stop by the school to talk with students.
