Freeport High School homecoming 2023
Freeport High School was bursting with school spirit throughout homecoming 2023. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kishore Kuncham and Board of Education President Maria Jordan-Awalom along with board of education trustees, administrators, alumni and community political representatives, students, staff and families joined to celebrate their school spirit and community pride.

There was excitement even before the game started with numerous booths serving refreshments and selling spirit wear. The Freeport High School marching band led the parade along the high school track prior to the start of the game.

The stands were filled to capacity as the Red Devils came on the field to the cheers of their families and supporters.  When the football game started, Red Devils pride was felt throughout the packed stands and on the field. The student halftime festivities, which is always a highlight, included performances from the cheerleaders, marching band, color guard and dance group.

It was obvious from the start of the game that the Red Devils came to win. The varsity football team played an action-packed game and did not disappoint their fans. This year’s homecoming game ended with a Red Devils win over the Baldwin Bruins 33-8. Homecoming 2023 was filled with memories and a greater sense of school spirit and community pride.
